For over a hundred years, San Francisco's run-down Tenderloin district has endured as a place to go when there's nowhere else to go. Here, a block from shoppers browsing Gucci and Prada, are the lowest rents in town—and the loosest rules. Immigrants, recovering addicts, non-recovering addicts, artists, students, retirees--and those who prey on them--all call this place home.
"Tenderloin" tells the story of a physically and psychically wounded Iraq War vet who moves into the neighborhood to lose himself in drink, but finds, instead, his son, a girl, and some very colorful friends: Felicia, an over-the-top drag queen, turning tricks until she can turn into a woman; Cassandra, who has already made the change with stunning success; Duke and Johnny, vets from two other wars, who once had dreams and hopes; Owen, the squatter with hard memories; Myrna, a mother figure to them all; and the red hot Skyler, who could change his life.
It's a fast ride, with hard lessons and tough choices. It's the Tenderloin.

Congratulations to all of us. This is really good news. We'll be back with more details as the release date approaches.

May 7, 2008 marked the completion of principal photography on “Tenderloin,” an independent dramatic feature film shot in the heart of the edgiest and most vibrant neighborhood in America's favorite tourist mecca-San Francisco.
After a year of intensive postproduction, the film is now completed and ready for release. Next step: Submission to major film festivals in the U.S. and abroad.
Please watch this space for future developments as festival and distribution plans continue taking shape.
